Not a lot of good stuff coming out now

Well, I know when I was growing up, you had those few shows that were popular, but not just a few, but Dragon Ball Z, US Sailor Moon. But I think right now in this particular moment, if I had to make my opinion, I think that there's not a lot of good stuff coming from everywhere else. I'm not to be overly critical of American media at the moment, but even when you do like a show, it seems like it gets canceled after one season on Netflix. It doesn't make it that far. You can't get to invest it.

So it's like you come across anime in at least 20 episodes, or depending on what show it is that you're watching. Writing is, from my experience so far, it's always been amazing, even when it's slightly traumatizing, but it's phenomenal world building. It's phenomenal storytelling. And I think that's just, we're missing that everywhere else. And so people are turning to anime in this moment because it's like, it's delivering.
