I lost count on how many Limocillos I ate in the DR
Limocillos are my favorite fruit besides strawberries and watermelon. On my last trip to the Dominican Republic, I ate Limocillos almost every day. They come from a tree named Melicoccus bijugatus and you can find them in all parts of the Caribbean. Linmocillos are also known as Spanish lime, genip, genipe, quenepa, mamoncillo, or honeyberry. They are super easy to eat and as far as I know, there's no limit on how many Limoncilllos you can eat.
- It's tangy and sweet
- Feels refreshing in your mouth
- It's the perfect summer snack
