A Taste of Antiguan Baked Goods: My Favorite Pastries
Freshly baked Antiguan bread is one thing that I miss eating. There was a bakery in my village in Antigua that my family and I would frequently go to. I would eat bread and other pastries as a snack, side or for breakfast. The good thing is that there is an Antiguan bakery in the Bronx called Cholo & Sons Bakery.
How can you get there? It’s easy! Take the 2 train to 219th Street and walk one block to 3825 White Plains Road. You could also have it ordered straight to your home on Uber eats here: https://www.ubereats.com/store/al-cholo-bakery/YBLyMjQxQl-f67EPOHV8NQ for affordable prices.
You can enjoy delectable pastries such as bun, coconut bread, wheat bread, coconut roll, rock cake, banana cake, current roll, pineapple tart, guava tart and so much more. I personally like to order the white bread with butter and cheese. I would pair it with punch soda which is my favorite Caribbean soda or vita malt.
