Dengeki Daisy Anime 2027: WAIT. Dengeki Daisy is FINALLY Getting an Anime!
Aniplex officially dropped the announcement on June 9, 2026 — Dengeki Daisy is getting its very first TV anime adaptation, set to premiere in 2027. And the way they revealed it? So dramatic, so iconic. Aniplex posted a cryptic teaser countdown page that had literally everyone spiraling with theories before the big reveal. We love a mystery moment.
So here’s the who and what, for anyone who somehow hasn’t read this masterpiece: Dengeki Daisy is written and illustrated by Kyousuke Motomi, and it ran in Shogakukan’s monthly shojo manga magazine Betsucomi from 2007 all the way to 2013. The series spans 16 volumes and sold five million copies. Five. Million. It was a MOMENT and it deserved so much more than it got back then.
Now for the WHERE and the HOW: Studio DEEN is handling the animation production, and a teaser visual has already dropped featuring our beloved leads Teru and Kurosaki. The series will be directed by Sōta Ueno with music by Masaru Yokoyama. That music casting alone has me emotional.
And the WHY this matters so much? Because this is happening more than a decade after the manga concluded its serialization. Fans have been waiting 13 whole years for this. THIRTEEN. Even mangaka Kyousuke Motomi couldn’t believe it — she shared that she was genuinely shocked the news was real, saying she couldn’t wait to see Teru and Kurosaki “moving and speaking” and asked the anime staff to “please take good care of Daisy.”
2027 can’t come soon enough. 🌼
So, do YOU think the manga deserves an anime? 👇
