On May 28, 2023 I attended Taylor Swift's: The Eras Tour, but the process of getting tickets wasn't the easiest task. Along with thousands of other Swifties, I failed to get the concert tickets during the presale which meant I was forced to buy a ticket on a resale website. Ticket prices were absurd, with some going for a low of $1200 to some selling for $5000. I was determined to get these tickets as this was a once in a lifetime opportunity, so I resorted to babysitting to make a little extra cash.

I started by putting up posters in the lobby of my Lower East Side building in hopes of getting the attention of current residents. I was able to babysit on average three times a week for $15 an hour. I was also called to pet sit and walk dogs from time to time. When I combined the two months worth of babysitting money with saved up cash from past birthdays, I finally had enough to buy a Taylor Swift concert ticket.
