Teaching with two heads

Now I use Jujitsu Kaisen as an example and at least half of my class ifnot all of them…they instantly know what it is that I'm talking about and as a professor being able to connect with them in that way has been so amazing. It's made teaching them more fun for both of us. Being able to make that connection even when I'm building my lessons trying to figure out how can I make a reference or how can I use illustrations from the show to make this more fun or something of that nature.

And so it's opened my mind a little bit into the ways in which I can teach them so that they're not just coming to class and staring at me for an hour and then can't wait until like just basically like I can't wait till I go home. And so I think another great thing about anime is just the way that it's helping people from like different generations find something that they both like, something that they have in common, a way to build interest.
