Cells at work: Bodyguard white blood cells and Courier red blood cells?
Mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell
As is taught in biology class, Mitochondria is indeed the powerhouse of the cell; but what about everything else? How about a personified version of all the cells in your body working to keep you alive turned into an anime. Well Cells at Work is just that; ranging from red blood cells to cancer cells, it translates biology into an entertaining form.
Hot cells
My favorite thing about this anime is the fact that even though the characters are typical anime characters, they each relate to the real world; causing you to care about and respect your body more. At the same time, because the cells are drawn hot or cute, it makes it more fun than just sitting in a classroom learning biology. Many watchers even jokingly say that they’ve learned more within the 24 minute episodes than they did in biology class.
With 2 seasons and a spin off, there is plenty to learn and binge. So put on your learning caps and tune into some Cells at Work!
