Drake has risen to become America's new heartthrob. His debut single Best I Ever Had became a charttopper as it reached number one on the R&B charts and number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. Because of the popularity of the single, the music video has become widely anticipated as many of Drake's fans expected a romantic segment with a love interest a la Birthday Sex by Jeremih. Unfortunately, the video failed to deliver the goods as it instead portrays high school softcore porno. It begins with female basketball players running in slow motion with their jugs jiggling up and down. Drake is not romantically involved with any of the the basketball players and instead plays their coach (who expected that?). The basketball players are horrifically awful at the sport but despite their losses, Drake keeps calling them "the best". The players then complain that all they do is stretch, which obviously is not sufficient to win. Drake then blabbers that "stretching is a vital aspect" which is a blatant excuse to see them stretch sensually as sweat drip down their bodies. And who to blame for this excuse called a music video: Kanye West!. I personally thought that Kanye would make wonders for this video (as he did with his very own vids). Hopefully Drake would stick around to prove us that the Best I Ever Had video was a mere mistake.
